The entire Minecraft community has been issued a challenge: mine a whopping 4.25 billion stone blocks between January 7th at 8:00 AM PT/ 17:00 CET and January 12th at 11:00 AM PT/20:00 CET. That's right, a billion blocks! It's time to dust off your pickaxes and get to work because there's a special reward waiting for the victors. For those new to Minecraft, a Character Creator item allows you to customize your in-game avatar, so this challenge is a chance to earn some unique and stylish rewards.
But here's where it gets controversial... What if we told you that mining isn't the only task at hand? If the community also manages to defeat 1.75 billion mobs during the same timeframe, we'll unlock an even more impressive reward - the Victor's Laurel Wings Character Creator item! Imagine soaring through the skies with a coat and wings that proclaim your victory. It's a look that's sure to turn heads and make a statement.
Free Marketplace Add-on: Mounts of Mayhem
After you've conquered mobs, mined your heart out, and mastered the art of spearfishing, it's time to relive your favorite moments - but with a twist! On January 9th at 11:00 AM PT/ 20:00 CET, the Minecraft Marketplace will release a free add-on called "Mounts of Mayhem: Dungeon Descent." This dungeon adventure offers a chance to discover unique charms and a custom saddle block, allowing you to add particle trails to your mounts' movements. It's a sparkly addition to your mayhem-filled adventures!
